We’re releasing our first addition to the Lewis Yuvin collection soon. Inspired by Sheff’s childhood dream of wanting to become an astronaut, and given the chance he still would. The artwork is being digitised and printed, ready to be shown on the shop store soon. We hope you like it!

Trying creative shoot formats

We recently had an office setting to shoot for the garments and experimented with a few different reel and photo formats. Having had a look at what’s trending and what looks good, we’ve tried following them to show our own. Hope you’re liking what you see on the social pages and here’s some behind the scenes photos of the set!

Introducing the new garments

Hey all, now that we are finally back we can give some more details about the changes. 

We’re glad to say that we’ve found a manufacturer of the garments that fits our needs. The fabric of the garments is amazingly premium, and are a much better quality over our previous suppliers. One of the things that we especially wanted to change was the GSM (Grams per Square Metre) which affects the thickness and stretchability, and weight. For the embroideries to be great we needed garments with a much higher count than our previous supplier could give as they can support our designs.

The garment suppliers based in Belgium are also very much in line with values we consider important such as sustainability and the impact on the planet while not compromising on comfort and quality. They use organic cotton only which ensures there’s no harmful products leaked into the ground or sky, meaning that the farmers’ and workers’ communities are safe and the water can be reused instead of wasted due to pollutants. 

On the embroidery side, we have found a business that does this to a high level and are happy to work with them to produce the final product. They are UK based and have a great commitment to creating these pieces with their communication and expertise. 

Overall the change has been successful and we’re looking forward to seeing the response from the new garments.

Business as usual

The changes have been implemented and we are nearly ready to go. The new garments are amazing and we are much prouder to have these represent Lewis Yuvin. When we post on social media, that will be when we are ready to start shipping these out to you again so watch out.

We are making the collection smaller and only having T-shirts at this current time in three standout colours. White, navy and black. The whole shop and product page have been updated and you’ll see the positive changes that have been made.

Changes

Hey all. After having a meeting recently we have decided to do some major changes to how we deliver the products to you. We aren’t too happy with how the garments come out currently, and after trying some alternatives we still don’t think that the product is of the highest quality we can give. In line with our values, we don’t feel comfortable having these products as part of Lewis Yuvin.

Nothing will change for you, so you don’t need to worry. This is all happening on the back end and we’re working hard to get this working so we can distribute high quality embroidered designs on good fabric. Keep watching out for posts and the blog to see our transition to having more control over the production of the clothing.

Planning the steps ahead for Lewis Yuvin

Fresh creations

As promised, new designs are being prepared and almost ready to go! The inspiration is simple: I was told a long time ago to draw what I see. "If an apple is blue to you, let it be blue." I embrace this idea in my designs.

In my daily life, I see duality in everything: good and bad, healthy and unhealthy, light and dark, geometric and realistic. This sense of duality is reflected in all my designs.

You have to be reel-y good

We’re having great fun experimenting with what social media format will help us get the most exposure. Those of you on this page might have already seen some of our content whether it’s a still image carousel or short form videos/reels, although we’re finding that the videos are more successful in this climate! The reels and still shoots were great fun to make and going to a car park with Sheffin and proudly wearing a few of the designs we have ourselves gave us a chance to show everyone how they look and fit.

We’re planning to do shoots every fortnight, and get enough material to post consistently over those upcoming two weeks. You’ll see this reflected in our posts and we hope that they catch your eye!

Behind the scenes drawing and design

Sheffin has the talented hand, and is happy to share a couple of his sketches that have been reviewed and evolved until we’re happy with how it looks on print. You will find some of these familiar in the shop! He’s continuing to design and draw more to release on print, so keep an eye out.

First photoshoot, how exciting

Lewis Yuvin had their first photoshoot today! With Lewis’s partner, her phone, and a public park they decided to shoot the Shattered Glow Premium Tee. Posting content about our designs and clothes makes us feel great, we love the pieces we have and are always learning about best ways to push the content for Lewis Yuvin out.
